Zentreya only received an official warning for content that had previously been considered acceptable by Twitch.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Over the past week, multiple VTubers have experienced weird interactions with Twitch support wherein their accounts are being banned.<\/p>\n<p>Users are experiencing bans for unclear reasons, or even when they are made clear they are being banned for things that were seemingly <a href=\"https:\/\/nichegamer.com\/socks-vtuber-agency-announces-debut-lineup\/\">acceptable<\/a> as little as a month ago. Of note, VShojo talent Zentreya was caught up in one of these <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zentreya\/status\/1835684773953466749\">actions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Now mind you this isn\u2019t a ban, this is a warning, but if I show the swimsuit toggle for even a minute, I will most likely be banned. So it\u2019s a very weird situation. VTuber FallenShadow (affectionately referred to as Shondo by fans) was banned for allegedly running afoul of Twitch&#8217;s policy on&nbsp;<em>&#8220;self-harm behavior&#8221;<\/em>. Only a few days later Twitch reversed their decision while still claiming that they were correct in their initial ban.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">hahahah what though<br \/>so they&#39;re admitting it&#39;s only because of backlash? With sexualized streams featuring female streamers in the flesh often going overlooked if not tacitly encouraged, meanwhile anime women are apparently held to a higher standards. One VTuber joked about pasting their head over a woman in a bikini in order to avoid Twitch&#8217;s erratic moderation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ohno twitch don&#39;t ban me <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vHKJ6pydUD\">pic.twitter.com\/vHKJ6pydUD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Yuria of Ailurus \ud83c\udf8bAngel&#39;s Sword (@YuriaVT) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/YuriaVT\/status\/1835922545259745296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 17, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Even Twitch Ambassadors are left confused by the site&#8217;s recent actions, especially since a handful of Ambassadors are VTubers themselves. But as one member <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/uguubear\/status\/1835815513538302087\">explains<\/a>, Ambassadors aren&#8217;t exactly privy to backend discussions about site moderation.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth mentioning that the <a href=\"https:\/\/nichegamer.com\/5-vtuber-groups-that-arent-nijisanji\/\">largest<\/a> VTuber company in the world hololive <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/StreamHatchet\/status\/1830969003248132527\">primarily uses<\/a> YouTube.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nichegamer.com\/tech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Niche Gamer Tech<\/a>.
