Inti Creates has released the second major content update for Card-en-Ciel, <\/em>adding a challenge mode and more to the deckbuilding roguelite game.<\/p>\n

The new 1.2.0 update is now available, adding the aforementioned Challenge Battles mode, the game-changing Parallel Card system, and more.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, Card-en-Ciel <\/em>will get free monthly content updates until \u201cat least\u201d March 2025<\/a> adding new extra dungeons, alternate versions of cards, and more.<\/p>\n

Here’s a rundown on the update:<\/p>\n

Card-en-Ciel\u2019s new Challenge Battle mode<\/strong><\/p>\n

Version 1.2.0 of Card-en-Ciel brings with it a brand new gameplay mode: Challenge Battles. In each of these battles, you’ll have to complete the challenge using only the cards and Muses provided to you at the start. Your deck will always be in the same order, so there is no randomness here!<\/p>\n

These puzzles will test your knowledge and skills to the limit. But don\u2019t worry, you\u2019ll be able to retry the challenge as often as you need. If you get stuck, you can ask Ancie for helpful hints, no strings attached. Each Challenge Battle you clear will unlock one “Parallel Card” for use.

\nNew system: Parallel Cards<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Parallel Card is a new version of an existing card that you can enable before you venture into dungeons. These Parallel Cards will replace the original when you receive them in a dungeon or battle rewards, making for new experiences and strategies.<\/p>\n

You can always return a Parallel Card to normal from the base menu, so enable or disable them as you see fit. Find your favorites to customize the game to your playstyle, or pick and choose the ones you need to help get a new high score!
